Maximizing a small space.

Our original design included wall cabinets that followed the roof line, this was purely aesthetic since the upper sections would be hard to reach. The customer opted to save a bit and follow the lower roof line for the tops of the cabinets. If not for the island, it would be hard to find a spot for the dishwasher. The island also features a prep-sink so you can put someone else to work, giving everyone more time for margaritas!

Storage.

On each side of the sink is a 6" pullout for hanging towels and large utensils. The trash bin is between the sink and range for easy access -the drawer on top adds storage for extra trash bags.

Did we say storage?

Would you want to try and access a lazy susan in this corner? We wouldn't. The corner drawers add flexible storage that is easy to access. To the left is a small door for storing trays.

Knob placement.

It looks nice to have all the handles or knobs in the center of a drawer, but they aren't as easy to reach as off center knobs. It's a small thing, but sometimes little details make a big difference in the long run.

Clean lines.

Cabinets with tight clean lines just look tidy. They are also easy to clean. In case you didn't watch our Cleaf stress-test video above, you can clean Cleaf cabinets with chemicals you wouldn't dare touch a painted or stained cabinet with.

The end result.

A tidy little kitchen with plenty of storage options, that will survive the elements -and some spilled margaritas.
